"Star Wars: Hunters Season 4 Brings New Content, Heroes, and Exciting Updates"
Developed by Zynga and its subsidiary NaturalMotion, Star Wars: Hunters is a team-based arena shooter fully released on mobile platforms and Nintendo Switch on June 4.
Powered by Unreal Engine, the game is set between the end of the original Star Wars trilogy and 2015’s The Force Awakens, featuring a diverse roster of characters. This lineup of Hunters includes a Jedi droid, a Sith assassin, a Mandalorian vanguard, an Imperial Stormtrooper, and even an Ewok warrior. Season 4, titled Survival Instinct, further expands this roster, adding new content and gameplay improvements.
Nox, a former assassin of the Night Wind Order searching for her long-lost sister, joins the roster of heroes and villains in Survival Instinct. This archer’s unique abilities allow her to deal significant damage with her poisoned arrows while maintaining agility. Nox’s former organization was introduced in the Disney+ miniseries The Book of Boba Fett, starring Temuera Morrison and Pedro Pascal.
Additional highlights of Season 4 include Endor Aftermath, a map inspired by the legendary battle that decided the Galactic Civil War, and Scrap Salvage, a new resource-based game mode. Launched on November 26, the season also features 228 new cosmetics and various events, such as the Feast of Prosperity, which previously appeared in EA’s long-running MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. On the balance front, adjustments have been made to Charr, Rieve, Sentinel, and Vex.
The previous season, Echoes of the Rebellion, introduced the Ewok warrior Pilbush and a Hoth-based map, another iconic battleground from the Star Wars saga, similar to Endor.
According to patch notes published on the official Star Wars: Hunters website, Season 4 Survival Instinct will run until the end of January 2025. This extended period should allow the development team to roll out additional updates and engaging gameplay experiences. It also gives players ample time to explore all the content the season has to offer. Zynga’s mobile title currently holds an average score of 60 on the review aggregator OpenCritic, with many praising its fun gameplay loop while noting a lack of broader appeal.
